Todays Highlights

The swan's awake event this morning was amazing, perfect conditions, hundreds of swans and lots of activity once the sun came up.

Bittern - 1, flew past main hide, landed in reeds between main hide and reebed hide

Bewick's swans
Whooper swans, several family groups, largest brood size was 6 cygnets.  Plenty of ringed birds to spot and the potatoes near the main hide encouraged a lot of birds to stay on the main lagoon.

Tufted duck
Shelduck

Black- tailed godwit, lots of flocks around the reserve but one flock of 400 came in to one of the islands on the main lagoon, at least 6 leg ringed birds amongst these.
