About me

I completed a Bachelor of Science in Geo-Informatics and went on to pursue a Master’s degree in Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems at the Asian Institute of Technology, where I focused on using spatial data and technology to address environmental challenges, and deepened my skills in geospatial applications for conservation. Before joining WWT, I worked with the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) as a Geospatial Specialist, applying geospatial and drone technology to monitor biodiversity, land cover change, and habitat health around the Tonle Sap.

At WWT, I am passionate about combining scientific research, geospatial technology, and community engagement to advance wetland and biodiversity conservation in Cambodia. I am particularly motivated by the opportunity to coordinate projects that integrate rigorous scientific data collection, analysis, and participatory approaches, ensuring conservation strategies are evidence-based and effective. I am excited to apply my skills in social science research, GIS and remote sensing, and project management to support high-quality conservation outcomes while promoting sustainable livelihoods and community involvement at sites such as Beung Prek Lpov (BPL).

My role / My project

As Project Coordinator at WWT, I act as the focal point for project implementation and management, overseeing day-to-day operations to ensure effective and timely delivery of conservation activities. I manage the inputs of project teams, support staff and contractors, and maintain project management tools, including workplans, operational procedures, and monitoring and evaluation plans.

I coordinate with WWT technical staff, partners, local stakeholders, and communities to promote collaboration, transparency, and high-quality outputs. My role also involves managing financial and physical resources responsibly, ensuring quality control of internal and external reports, and stepping up as Scientific Coordinator when required to lead scientific data collection, analysis, and reporting.

Through this role, I contribute to community-based wetland conservation and sustainable livelihoods, integrating community engagement, scientific research, and technology to achieve evidence-based conservation outcomes.
