Pick up a FREE trail card and set off for a full day of discovery and adventure and learn how to care for and protect our beautiful wetlands with a wide variety of wetland ranger activities including; Pond dipping, Mini beast hunting and on Wednesdays between 1-3pm Behind the scenes sessions with our friendly reserve team. Come along as they reveal some secrets about our wonderful wetland. Learn about the ways we care for these habitats & species and how you can protect them. There will also be a wetland hero workshop where you can make a seed ball to take home and encourage wildlife where you live.

Seven year old Kodi (and ‘Junior Wetland Ranger’) took on the challenge and told us what he loved about his visit: “I loved catching Newts, Dragonflies & Diving beetles when pond dipping – they’re amazing!”

First time visitors, the Henderson family said: “A very inspirational, educational but mostly FUN! Afternoon for the family. Thoroughly recommend.”

As well as Junior Wetland Rangers there’s loads of reasons to visit us during the summer holidays including our summer wildflower meadow trail, art exhibitions and seasonal events.

Help us with our mission to save wetland nature this summer and become a Junior Wetland Ranger.
