Ladybirds Loving the Sun
The good weather last summer combined with the mild winter weather has seen a bonanza of ladybirds around recently. During our recent fence inspections and repairs, prior to stock going on the reserve for the summer, we have been finding them in all manner of rather unusual places. These four were tucked into a section of rotten wooden post but we have also seen them in the coils of twine and within our electric fencing insulation. Elsewhere, the first of the ducklings of the year has been seen on Teal Pond and a Marsh Harrier has been over the Folly Pond.
