Thin Place - Bob Speers
Discover Thin Place, an exhibition by Bob Speers exploring the mysterious character of Ireland’s peatlands.
29th May to 27th June 2027.
A “thin place” describes somewhere the physical and unseen worlds seem to touch. Inspired by his regular wanderings through moorland and bogs, Bob explores this connection through paintings that contain material gathered from the landscapes themselves.
Combining samples from bogs across Ireland with commercial paints and discarded household fabrics, his work offers a distinctive perspective on these often-overlooked places
