Woodland Closure Notice

Due to high winds forecast for today (Wednesday 25th March) our woodland area will be closed. All other areas are open as normal. Thank you for your understanding.

Recent sightings - 6 December

The following sightings were recorded today by Toni Castello, warden, at high tide.

Main lake – visible from Sensory garden and Visitor centre

Mallard +150, Tufted duck 9, Coot 2, Gadwall 5, Shelduck 2, Black-headed gull 10.

Wadermarsh - visible from Brent Hide

Curlew 1, Grey heron 1, Cormorant 1, Black-headed gull 1.

Freshwater lagoon – visible from Brent Hide and Crannog

Tufted duck 1, Coot 2.

Saline lagoon - visible from Limekiln observatory

Little grebe 7, Little egret 1, Black-headed gull 1.

Estuary – visible from Brent hide and Limekiln observatory

Light-bellied brent geese +350, Eider +40, Oystercatcher +400, Shelduck +250, Curlew +40, Redshank +5, Turnstone 12, Lesser black-backed gull 3, Shag 1.

Field marsh - visible from Limekiln observatory and marsh lookout

Redshank 1, Greenshank 1, Little egret 1.
