Recent sightings from 20th July include:
- Main Lake - 200 Mallards, 1 Shelduck with 14 young, 3 Tufted with 2 duckings
- 5 Mute Swans spotted on the Wader Marsh
- Saline Lagoon - 3 Herons, 6 Terns (including 2 Arctic Terns) and 1 Little Grebe with 1 youngster
- Rabbits spotted around the reserve
- 3 Brimstone butterflies spotted at the Brickworks
- Lots of Burnet moths around the reserve
- Common Blues, Meadow Browns, Small Whites and Tortoiseshell butterflies spotted around the grass at the Limekiln
- Peninsula Saltmarsh - 1 Ringed Plover
- Limestone Lake - 1 Little Grebe with 1 youngster, 1 Greylag goose with 4 goslings and 1 Gadwall with 4 ducklings
- 2 Reed Buntings at brickworks
- Newts found in Reserve
