Festive family fun and gifts for nature this christmas
Festive fun for all the family and gifts for nature too.
This December, our grounds were bursting with festive cheer as families joined us for our Festive Family Fun Days and Give a Gift to Nature activities. From 6–21 December, on Saturdays and Sundays (Give a Gift To Nature still on until 4 January) visitors enjoyed a magical mix of Christmas fun and nature-loving activities.
The courtyard was alive with Christmas carnival games like Hook-a-Duck and Throw a Christmas Pudding, while little ones (and big ones!) delighted in face painting, bubble shows, magical interactive storytelling, gingerbread decorating, and marshmallow s’more making. Guests could also get creative with seeded card making, bird feeder crafting, and otter enrichment activities as part of our Give a Gift to Nature programme.
Our grounds were sprinkled with festive magic, complete with a gospel choir and a charming elf trail, where families hunted for hidden elves with their maps. The atmosphere was fully transformed into a festive wonderland, with twinkling decorations and cozy Christmas charm everywhere you looked.
We were thrilled to see so many smiling faces, the feedback was glowing, and our festive days were wonderfully busy! It was heart-warming to know that visitors not only had a magical Christmas experience but also gave back to nature.
Thank you to everyone who joined in the festivities, we can’t wait to make next year even more magical!
