Location: Opposite the flamingo exhibit

Join us opposite the flamingo exhibit for a drop‑in den‑building adventure that brings out every child’s inner explorer. Using branches, sheets & natural materials, families can work together to create their own woodland hideouts while learning simple outdoor skills. This hands‑on activity is perfect for families looking for nature activities, wildlife experiences & outdoor fun during the Dragonfly Festival at Washington Wetland Centre.

Accessibility: The den‑building area is open & level, with staff on hand to assist with lifting, tying or adapting materials. Lightweight options are available for those who need them. See more information about our centres accessibility here.
