WWT Washington 50th Anniversary Competition Terms and Conditions

The competition runs from 26 May – 31 December 2025. By entering the prize competition,
you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.

How to enter

Participants can pick up a ‘50 things to do at Washington 2025’ booklet from the centre’s
admissions area from 26 May 2025. Once the participant has completed 40 of the 50 things, the first page of the completed booklet (containing your contact details) can be returned and submitted into the entry box situated in the picture window.

Terms and conditions

1. Entry into the competition

  1. Entries are restricted to one entry per person.
  2. Entries must be received by 16:30 on 31 December 2025.
  3. Entrants must be over 18 to enter, or children must have an adult sign their entry form. WWT employees and their family members are excluded from entering.

2. Prize

  1. We will select a single winner at random from all entrants who have entered their contact details.
  2. The prize is a £100 WWT voucher to be spent in the shop or Waterside Cafe at WWT Washington, collectable from reception.
  3. We will notify the winner by email no later than 31 March 2026.
  4. No alternative prizes will be given and the Prize has no cash value.
  5. In the event of any dispute, WWT’s decision shall be final.

3. How will we use your personal details?

  1. Your personal details will only be used for
  • (a) the purposes of processing your Competition entry and communicating with you if you win; and
  • (b) keeping you up to date about what’s happening at our centres, our conservation work and ways you can support us. Entering the Competition constitutes your agreement to this use of your personal data.
  1. We would like to post the name of the Winner on WWT social media, and will request the Winner’s specific consent, or for a child under 18, their parent or guardian’s consent, to do so.
  2. Your personal details will be treated in accordance with our privacy policy and in accordance with UK data protection legislation. We are committed to keeping your personal details secure and we will never share it with other organisations for marketing purposes.
