Wild Walk - Dragonfly safaris
Come along on this family-friendly dragonfly adventure with our team!

Date: Every Tuesday from 22 July - 19 August
Time: 1pm - 2pm
Location: Meet at the visitor centre for this hour-long guided adventure
Ideal for: Adults and families with an interest in learning more about dragonflies and damselflies
Meet our reserve team an head off on a family-friendly adventure in search of some of our favourite winged-creatures. Allow them to dazzle you with fun facts and photos as you head through North Wood and Top Meadow* before winding your way down to our amphibian ponds where we'll hopefully catch up with a host of colourful dragonflies and damselflies darting around the water's surface.
Remember, these wonderful creatures are cold-blooded and so rely on the heat of the sun to become active. If the weather doesn't play along, we'll still head out and spot all kinds of other wildlife and you will still learn lots about the dragonflies and damselflies that call WWT Washington home during the summer months.
*This route can be changed to suit visitors with mobility aids, please just speak to our team!
