Wild Walk - grasslands
Date: Saturday 19 July
Time: 11am - 12noon
Meeting place: Picture window (next to admissions)
Cost: Included with general admission (free for members)
Meet biodiversity survey volunteer Vicky at 11am sharp for this one hour guided wild walk around our reserve, with a focus on our grassland meadows at Top Meadow and Old Oak Meadow, identifying the different types of grass and key flowering plants on the meadows and the important part they play in the biodiversity at WWT Washington.
As a qualified ecologist, Vicky has a wealth of experience in biodiversity management, habitat assessment and protected species surveys such as bats. This is a fantastic opportunity to spend some time with her and ask questions. It's also a great opportunity to practise your ID skills with hints and tips from Vicky and the team. For avid photographers, you may just spot a new thing or two!
No booking needed - we'll leave the centre at 11am so please meet in the picture window 5 minutes beforehand.
