Due to heavy rainfall along the catchment of the River Great Ouse, the Ouse Washes are currently acting as a flood water storage area. Access is possible to the main hide and wing hides, all other footpaths and hides are closed due to flooding. Swan feeds and hare walk are still running as normal.X
No lift access to the reserve: Mobility scooters and wheelchairs are unable to access the reserve at present, we are working to resolve this issue as soon as possible. Until the lift is working access is via a flight of 8 steps a landing and then 12 steps. We apologise for any inconvenience caused, access is still possible to the shop and cafe which have fantastic views out over Lady Fen and our bird feeders.X

There are two room available for hire in the visitor centre - The Pond Room and the Goodwin Room. Both rooms and all areas of the centre can be easily accessed by wheelchair users.
This incredible room provides a unique place to hold a meeting, seminar, exhibition or talk.
With dramatic views of the Fenland fields, this larger-than-life pond world is ideal for making an impression.
It seats 60 theatre-style and 25 boardroom-style.
Overlooking the Fenland fields and landscaped grounds, the Goodwin Room is ideal for meetings and seminars, seating 25 people theatre-style or 12 boardroom-style.
This room is also fitted with an induction loop system.
Both rooms can be hired for full or half days/evenings (subject to availabilty). Access to the reserve is not included in the cost of room hire, but is available at our group rate, please click here to find prices.
Please contact us on 01353 860711 to discuss as room hire prices are negotiable if catering is included. If you would like to request hire of other areas of the centre, such as the Wigeon cafe or Observatory, please contact us and we will try to meet your needs. However, these areas will be subject to availability depending on visitor opening hours, WWT events etc.
Included with the hire of a room is the use of flip chart, white board, pens, digital projector, overhead projector and screen along with the freedom to explore the Fenland Worlds discovery area, gift shop and cafe.
On arrival at the centre your group will be greeted by a member of staff and guided to your room.
This member of staff will be your point of contact for the day, and if you need any assistance they will be available to help you.
Refreshments will be available at times specified by you, starting from £3.20 per head.
Seasonal light lunches are available between 12noon and 2.30pm and can be pre-booked by contacting the catering team.
Tables will be reserved for your party in the licensed Wigeon cafe and your meals served to reserved tables or served in the meeting room if preferred.
Please note, any party with 10 people or more will be required to pre-book their lunch option.
Corporate groups also have the opportunity to book a buffet for their group, which will be served in their room.
Buffets are priced from £9.95 per head and will be served at your requested time. Please contact the centre for further details.
If you would like alternative catering arrangements, please contact the catering team with your requirements. If possible we will be pleased to accommodate your request.
If your team is looking for a challenge, team-building volunteering sessions on the reserve are sometimes available.
The sessions can be planned as morning, afternoon or full day events, and can range from path clearing to willow cutting and burning.
Many extras are available for your group including meet and greet, guided walks, wild swan feeds, guide in the hide and educational presentations - some will incur an extra cost.
