Wader Watch
The pools are looking fantastic at the moment in anticipation of wader watch next week. A week long event to mark the passage of wading birds through the reserve. There will be daily tours each morning and experts on hand to help identify the birds.

Crane - 3 (Lady Fen) Yellow wagtail - 12 Green sandpiper Common sandpiper Black-tailed godwit - 12 Ruff - 6 Hobby - 3 A large flock of house martins are feeding above the visitor centre and main observatory today.

Green sandpiper - 2 Ringed plover - 2 Marsh harrier - 1 Buzzard - 1 Wildfowl numbers are now increasing with wigeon teal, mallard and shoveler in front of the hides.
