Lots of chicks
Today is a great day to see chicks out on the reserve, they include:
Avocet chicks in front of Lyle Hide and Friends Hide
Lapwing chicks on Lady Fen
Redshank chicks on Lady Fen
Little ringed plover chicks in front of the Main Observatory
Mallard ducklings in front of the main observatory
Shoveler ducklings on Lady Fen
Moorhen chicks on the pool between the car park and the centre
In addition the black-tailed godwit numbers are building up with 62 now feeding just out the front of the main observatory.
