Access to Main Hide and Nelson-Lyle for everyone, including mobility scooters. Wellies needed to Lyle, not mobility scooters. Further hides to come as water levels continue to drop. Lady Fen trails are closed now until after breeding season, but great views from cafe veranda. All roads open and accessible.

Our secretive water vole now has friends - the whole family are out on the front pond this morning.  Two adults and at least 2 young water voles.  All the family have been quite active this morning in the reeds and in amongst the lush shoots of grass on the banks.  Also this morning there has been a Marsh harrier and a little egret over Lady Fen and Bank farm.  Whilst visitors should look out for black terns passing along the washes on the reserve and a further two little egret were seen from  the main observatory.  There are two cranes in the area as well.

The photos below are some from this morning, the top two being one of the adults and the bottom one is of a young water vole hiding in the long grasses.
