Today's Highlights

Water levels have dropped well enough to now re-open most of the footpaths. Wellies are needed to get to Lyle, Reedbed and Friends hides. There is mud on the footpath to Nelson-lyle hide so stout boots would be recommended

The Welney Wash Road section of the A1101 is now open; diversions are not needed to be followed at present.

Lady Fen (the wetlands viewed from the visitor centre) is looking spectacular at the moment, with hundreds of swans at close range, lapwing, redshank, ruff, black-tailed godwit and shelduck in amongst them. Bewick’s swans at the back of Lady Fen.
