As a member, you can visit as often you like and each time you do you’ll see the difference you’re making. So, as you head out to enjoy the colours and sights of the season, remember that you are helping to restore and protect wetlands and their wildlife for generations to come.
As a charity, funds from membership are one of the ways we carry out crucial projects and right now we’re working to keep our reserves in shape, such as maintaining the grass meadows to allow wildflowers to flourish and feed our pollinators.
Membership also supports our work all year round by protecting species that have fallen victim to habitat destruction and ensuring we can continue essential campaigns against climate change, water pollution and biodiversity loss.
Membership helps keeps wetlands and species safe.
Millions of waterbirds saved when we helped persuade MEPs to end the use of lead shot in EU wetlands
Over 50 more natural flood management features were installed during 2020, slowing water downstream
49 pairs of red-listed breeding black-tailed godwits were recorded across the fens in 2020, another increase
You can visit us throughout the year. Fulfilling Sir Peter Scott’s ambition, our ten wetland sites are accessible to every wildlife enthusiast.
You’ll receive your pack and card through the post. It’s full of information about our conservation work and wetland centres, so you can plan your visit and see how your support is making a difference.
Each issue is responsibly produced and includes our latest news and stories, in-depth features on conservation issues, wildlife spotter guides, kids’ activities and wetland activities for the whole family.
Protecting vanishing species and the wetlands they rely on is a lifetime’s work. Can we count you in as a life member?
