Recent sightings - 23th November

The following sightings were recorded today by Toni Castello, warden, at high tide.

Main lake – visible from Sensory garden and Visitor centre

Mallard +250, Tufted duck 24, Coot 3, Gadwall 8, Mute swan 1 juv.

Wadermarsh - visible from Brent Hide

Black-headed gull 2, Grey heron 1, Oystercatcher 10, Redshank 2.

Freshwater lagoon – visible from Brent Hide and Crannog

Coot 2.

Saline lagoon visible from Limekiln observatory

Great cormorant 1, Redshank 2, Tufted duck 1, Little egret 1.

Estuary – visible from Brent hide and Limekiln observatory

Light-bellied brent geese +200, Oystercatcher +500, Black-headed gull 10, Shelduck +150, Curlew 25, Redshank 5, Dunlin 30, Grey plover 4, Lesser black-backed gull 1, Shag 14, Great cormorant 6.
