Recent sightings - 4th April

The following sightings were recorded today by Toni Castello, warden, near high tide.

Main lake – visible from Sensory garden and Visitor centre

Mallard 25, Tufted duck 20, Black-headed gull 280, Cormorant 1.

Wadermarsh - visible from Brent Hide

Black-headed gull 220, Shelduck 2, Redshank 1, Lesser black-backed gull 2.

Freshwater lagoon – visible from Brent Hide and Crannog

Mallard 4, Tufted duck 8, Black-headed gull 150, Mute swan 1.

Saline Lagoon

Black-headed gull 65, Redshank 1.

Estuary – visible from Brent hide and Limekiln observatory

Black-headed gull 100, Redshank 10, Little egret 1, Shelduck 10, Common gull 2, Turnstone 1, Curlew 20, Oystercatcher 150.

Peninsula Marsh - visible from Limekiln observatory and P. Marsh lookout
