The end of the school holidays may be on the horizon but there’s still plenty of time to enjoy our summer events programme this year! Make the most of August with a day well-spent at Castle Espie.

Drawn to Water summer trail

Let Quentin Blake be your guide when you pick up one of our trail maps, beautifully illustrated by the UK’s best-loved illustrator himself. With only a few weeks left of summer, be sure to experience all the wetland wonders that this season has to offer.

Meet the Keeper

Got a burning question about our ducks and geese? This is your chance to find out all you want to know about the brilliant birds in our collection.

Pond dipping

Uncover an unbelievable underwater world in the Pond Zone. Will you find a newt? Or perhaps a diving beetle? Let your discoveries inspire an incredible illustration.

Give brand new life to those old cardboard tubes by transforming them into a personalised pair of binoculars. Perfect for your adventure around the reserve!

Unleash your upcycling genius! Whether it’s plastic bottles or old clothes pegs, bring any materials from home and get funky. We can’t wait to see what you create.
