Recent Sightings €- 17th December 2018

Count taken at Mid-tide this morning.

Keep your eyes peeled around the reserve for a very elusive and colourful little duck, the Eurasian Teal. Lots of Teal have been seen on sight of late, mainly roosting overnight but some are staying all day on both the Main Lake and the Wadermarsh to forage and feed. They are hard to spot due to their small size, about half the size of a Mallard and elusive behaviour. However the Male's distinctive yellow patch along their tails are very striking at distance.
