Recent Sightings €- 3rd December 2018

Count taken at high tide.

With Winter closing in, we've been topping up our bird feeders in and around the centre, with all sorts of garden birds visiting them. The real highlight is our family of Bullfinches. Big pink breast, thick beak for crushing seeds and a lovely white flash on the rump as it flies into the trees; its a spectacular wee bird. Families breed in the woodland in the summer but have been absent from the reserve for a couple months now. A couple of pairs are now back and can bee seen regularly on feeders by the Garden hide in the Sensory Garden, the feeders in the Living collections and also the feeders in the woodland.
