Recent Sightings €“ 7th May 2018

The following sightings were recorded today at mid-tide from the reserve at Castle Espie.  We hosted the BBC Dawn Chorus at the Limekiln Observatory  on Sunday, and we were not disappointed by our resident songsters.  Blackcap, Willow warbler, Whitethroat, Dunnock, Goldfinch and Blackbird were just some of the birds heard at various points across the reserve and featured on the show on Sunday morning.

Shingle bank – visible from Sensory garden, Wadermarsh and Visitor centre

Greylag goose 5, Black-headed gull 24, Shelduck 1

Wadermarsh – visible from Wadermarsh lookout and Brent Hide
