Dawn Chorus Walks
Join us for one of our special early-morning guided walks to celebrate International Dawn Chorus Day 2026. Trust us, it will be well worth the 6:00am start!
Choose from Sunday 3 or Monday 4 May.
Friendly WWT guides will help you take in the huge variety of birdsong that weaves through the immersive wetland soundscape of a May morning. It's a dramatic time of year, with hard-fought territories, impressive courtships, and new migrant arrivals jostling for their own success.
Connect with the beautiful theatre of wetland nature, and you will learn to identify the superstar soloists, gain a real sense of accomplishment, and maybe even impress your friends and family with your newfound knowledge!
Tickets cost £20 per person. Your ticket includes a hot drink, breakfast pastries in the cafe, and exclusive early access to the nature reserve at 8:30am.
Booking in advance is essential, as numbers are very limited.

Meet your guides at the visitor centre entrance for a prompt 6:00am start. The walk will last two hours, following an accessible route through the reserve.
Your Dawn Chorus ticket includes exclusive early access to the Millennium Wetlands when the event finishes.
Bring your binoculars and cameras, and please dress for the weather!
