High Tide Watch

Experience the drama of wetland nature at twilight. Join us for an exclusive evening of wildlife watching as one of autumn’s highest tides transforms the landscape and brings hundreds of birds closer to your viewpoint.
As the sun sets over the Burry Inlet, witness the breathtaking spectacle of wading birds feeding and flying in formation, pushed inland by the rising tide; a must-see moment for nature lovers and birdwatchers alike. Autumn is peak migration season, and Llanelli Wetland Centre becomes a vital stopover for thousands of birds following ancient flight paths.
From the comfort of the British Steel Hide, watch and listen in wonder as the scene unfolds right before you, a soundscape of beautiful calls and noises and a moment you'll never forget.
After the light fades, we'll head back to the visitor centre for a chat and debrief over some hot drinks and sweet treats.
