WWT Llanelli will be closed for one day on Wednesday 20 May.

We’re sorry for this short-term inconvenience, but this date has been chosen to allow our team to rearrange the shop and entrance ahead of the upcoming Welcome Project construction, and get everything ready in time for a fantastic May half-term experience. We will reopen on Thursday 21 May as usual. Thank you for your support and understanding.

Live Music by The Lily Pond: Andy Mulligan Classical Guitar

As dragonflies glide across the Lily Pond and the gentle movement of water reflects the summer sky, the warm, intricate tones of classical guitar fill the air. Rich, expressive - and the perfect soundtrack to compliment the wetlands.

Join us at WWT Llanelli for a relaxing afternoon with South Wales-based guitarist Andy Mulligan, as part of our Dragonfly Festival. Blending the beauty of wetlands in summer with live acoustic music, this special performance creates a calm and uplifting atmosphere in one of Llanelli’s most peaceful settings.

Andy is an accomplished classical guitarist and teacher, with a music degree from Cardiff University and further study at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama. As a solo performer, he brings a rich and varied repertoire, from well-known classical guitar pieces to jazz, Latin and popular favourites, all thoughtfully arranged for the instrument.

Set beside the tranquil Lily Pond, you can pause, listen and unwind as music drifts through the reeds and across the water. Whether you’re visiting for wildlife, a summer day out, or simply a moment of calm, Andy’s performance offers a beautifully balanced blend of culture and nature.
