A Bearded Tit in the wildside reedbeds. Great White Egret on the wader scrape and two Bittern spotted on site. 13 Siskin on the south route.

A Peregrine Falcon flying off from the main lake. 4+ Siskin in wildside and south route. A Water Pipit calling and flying over the marsh.

Wildlife Sightings for 6th December 2023

Bearded Tit heard calling from the wildside reedbeds this morning. Little Grebe on the reservoir lagoon. Water Pipit flying onto the waderscrape.

Snipe on the waderscrape and the marsh. A Little Grebe on the reservoir lagoon. A Sparrowhawk hunting on the marsh.

Jack Snipe and Goldeneye on the main lake. Lots of Gadwall and a Bittern on the reservoir lagoon.

A Bearded Tit in the wildside reedbeds. A Bittern and Little Grebe on the reservoir lagoon. Female Goldeneye and 47 Lapwing counted on the main lake.

Bittern seen from Dulverton on the main lake. 1 Stonechat on the main lake reed fringes. 1 Song Thrush near the south route bird feeders.

A Bittern on the main lake from WWF or Dulverton hides. A Song Thrush on the main lake outside Headly Hide. Lots of Water Rail around site.

17 Water Rail across the site. 4 Lesser Redpoll and 3 Skylark flying over the site.

A Water Pipit calling from the marsh and a Song Thrush on the sheltered lagoon.

Wildlife Sightings for 26th November 2023

8 Snipe flew onto the marsh early a.m. 5 Water Rail heard from south route and the sheltered lagoon. Reed Bunting activity in the reedbeds and good finch flocks feeding on trees.

2 Bittern, on the main lake and the reservoir lagoon. 2 Shelduck on the main lake. Snipe flushed from the marsh by Sparrowhawk. Siskin, Redpoll and Skylark also spotted this morning
