Chilean flamingos

ℹ️ Flamingos off show
Our flock of Chilean flamingos is currently being housed indoors. This is a temporary measure as a precaution to local avian influenza (bird flu).
We don't know how long this will last but we'll let you know as soon as they are safe to be back outdoors!
Thanks for your understanding.

Wild walk - spring surprise

Wild walk - spring surprise

Join reserve manager John to spot the signs that our wetlands are waking up to the signs of spring. This front-row seat walk takes you through one of our region's most exciting natural transitions where woodland flowers, enchanting bird species and budding trees herald the arrival of longer days and warmer weather. Spend time with John honing your observation skills at our bustling grey heron breeding heronry and learning all about these remarkable birds.

This is a fantastic opportunity to spend some time with our expert team so ask any questions as we go. It's also a great chance to practice your IDing skills with hints and tips from our team. For avid photographers, you may just spot a new thing or two!

No booking needed - we'll leave the centre at 11am so please meet in the picture window 5 minutes beforehand.
