Curlew roost
Our curlew numbers have dropped since the site record of 1,220 on Saturday 12 January but we still had 300 on Wader Lake this morning, which left at about 9am to go off in search of food.

Record number of curlew on site
From just a single, solitary curlew last night; a record 1,220 are roosting on Wader Lake tonight! The island and all the fingers are literally full of birds and the noise is incredible. We think the cold snap has brought them in and they look fairly sett
