We were inundated with orders for free tickets which resulted in a few technical difficulties. We’ve fixed things and made any remaining spaces available, but please be aware there is very limited availability. We’re sorry if your preferred WWT wetland site and day is sold out. We hope you’ll be inspired to celebrate wetlands and to visit another day.

Wetlands are nature’s superheroes: flood-busting, carbon-sinking, mood-lifting habitats that are alive with energy.

This World Wetlands Day, the world celebrates them, and we want you in on it.

Claim your free ticket to a participating WWT wetland site across the UK and visit between Monday 2 February and Sunday 8 February*. Come hang out, explore, and reconnect with nature – and each other.

Our research shows just 10 minutes spent in and around wetlands can be enough to improve your mood. Imagine what a whole day could do!

How to redeem your free ticket

Select a date and sign up with a valid email address to claim your free ticket to your chosen WWT wetland site.

You’ll be emailed a barcode to show on arrival. You will need your barcode to gain entry.

Each valid email address can claim up to 2 tickets, so bring a friend or family member along.

World Wetlands Day FAQs

: World Wetlands Day is Monday 2nd February 2026 but we're celebrating all week.

For WWT Arundel, Castle Espie, Llanelli, London, Washington and Welney free tickets are available to book for visits from Monday 2 February to Sunday 8 February 2026.

For WWT Martin Mere and Slimbridge free tickets are available to book for visits from Monday 2 February to Friday 6th February 2026.

Due to high demand, a nominated day must be chosen upon booking. Your free ticket is only valid for the date you picked when booking. This helps us make sure everyone gets the best possible experience. If you need to switch your date, drop us an email at tickets@wwt.org.uk as soon as you can and we’ll do our best to change it for you.

Head to the map and find your nearest wetland site, pop in your name and a valid email address, and we’ll send you a barcode straight to your inbox. That barcode is your ticket — just show it to the admissions team when you arrive on your chosen day.

Each email address can claim up to 2 tickets, so you can bring a friend or family member along. Just choose how many you want when you sign up.

Your free ticket is valid at eight of our WWT wetland centres across the UK. Our site in Scotland, WWT Caerlaverock is currently closed until Spring 2026 and our tenth site, WWT Steart Marshes, is already free to enter anytime.

Your free ticket is only valid for the date you picked when booking — this helps us make sure everyone gets the best possible experience.

We get that plans can change! If you need to switch your date, drop us an email at tickets@wwt.org.uk as soon as you can, and we’ll do our best to sort it for you. If you do need to cancel, please let us know so we can free up your space for someone else.

: Yes - as long as you can use your phone to register online and show your barcode at admissions. Just a heads‑up: reception staff can’t register you on the day, so make sure you sign up yourself before entry.

: If you’ve pre‑booked a paid visit to one of our centres during the offer period, our admissions team will give you a complimentary ticket to come back for a free visit on another day. Just show your pre‑paid ticket at admissions to claim your free return ticket.

Yes! As long as you enter a valid email address, you’ll receive a free ticket. Each email address can claim up to 2 tickets, so you can bring a friend or family member along. Just choose how many you want when you sign up.

Terms and conditions

The offer entitles any person with a valid email address to claim up to 2 tickets to your chosen participating WWT wetland site. Tickets are valid from Monday 2 February throughout the week, and are valid for the date selected when you sign up. Please note: redemption dates may vary by site. Check your chosen site’s details before booking.

Due to high demand, a nominated day must be chosen upon booking.

The offer is valid at eight of our WWT sites (please note that WWT Steart Marshes is already free to enter anytime, so this offer is not required and WWT Caerlaverock is currently closed until Spring 2026).

The offer only covers admission to the site; visitors will be charged as usual for any additional ‘paid for’ experiences they wish to join on site.

Visitors wishing to use this offer must present a valid free ticket to the admissions staff, having signed up and completed all necessary steps in advance.

While it is possible for visitors to register for the offer on arrival, accessing the Sign Up page via their mobile phone, not all of our sites have a reliable mobile signal and unfortunately our staff cannot help you with this process, or allow free entry, unless you have a valid offer ticket.

We are unable to refund any tickets pre-booked online in relation to this offer. If you have already pre-booked and paid for a visit, admissions staff will be able to give you a complimentary ticket to come back for a free visit another day.

This promotion cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
