Recent sightings - 29th January

The following sightings were recorded today by Toni Castello, warden, near low tide, and under strong, scary wind.

Main lake – visible from Sensory garden and Visitor centre

Mallard +200, Tufted duck 35, Coot 5, Black-headed gull 30, Gadwall 12, Little egret 4, Grey heron 1, .

Wadermarsh - visible from Brent Hide

Redshank 1, Black-headed gull 4, Oystercatcher 4, Little egret 1.

Freshwater lagoon – visible from Brent Hide and Crannog

Mallard 5.

Estuary – visible from Brent hide and Limekiln observatory

Light-bellied brent geese +100, Shelduck +250, Oystercatcher +600, Curlew 10, Black-headed gull 12, Redshank +40, Knot +500, Dunlin +100, Black-tailed godwit 15.
