The Time Is Now

Do you want politicians to do more to tackle environmental issues like climate change, biodiversity loss and pollution?

Do you want politicians to do more to tackle environmental issues like climate change, biodiversity loss and pollution?

On Wednesday 26 June, 14,000 of us will line the streets of Westminster to tell MPs #TheTimeIsNow to take action.

If you’re able to get to Central London that day, we’d love you to join us. And if not, please support our accompanying social media activity on Facebook and Twitter @WWTworldwide.

Why Now?

This summer the government will decide when to end the UK’s contribution to climate change by committing to a net zero emissions target. They will also have the chance to pass a strong Environment Bill that can clean up our air, slash plastic pollution and restore wildlife to our wetlands. So now is the time to push for bold action.

What are we doing?

On June 26th, thousands of us from every corner of Britain will take our message straight to Parliament in what we hope will be the largest mass lobby for climate and the environment the UK has ever seen. WWT will be among dozens of groups taking part including environmental, religious, trade union and other community groups.

How do I join the event?

Sign up at #TheTimeIsNow online: http://thetimeisnowmap.co.uk/index.php . You'll find details on that page for where to be and when. We’ll be outside Parliament from 1pm with some WWT flags so you can easily spot us – we’d love to see you if there’s any way you can make it there.
