As Santa prepares to fly in to WWT Llanelli Wetland Centre to help feed the birds this winter, he’s got more than he bargained as he meets the nine, giant LEGO brick animals! The giant LEGO brick animals – some up to twelve times life size - have been a huge hit with visitors this winter and now Santa is meeting them too!

To get a last look at the LEGO brick animals, visit before 11 December and you may even meet Santa too! Every Sunday before Christmas, visitors will be treated to a visit from Santa who will be flying in to help feed our birds at 2.45pm.

Visit on a weekend and you can also book to enjoy an awesome, hour-long LEGO brick building workshop running on Saturdays and Sundays at 12pm and 2pm until 11 December.

Kelly Lewis, Llanelli’s Marketing Officer said:

“We’ve loved having the amazing LEGO brick animals at Llanelli Wetland Centre and they have been so popular with visitors old and new. We really think they’ve worked well to help inspire the next generation to continue Sir Peter’s work of saving threatened wildlife. Our weekend workshops have also been a sell-out! They’re great fun and children can make their own LEGO brick duckling to take home! With the arrival of Santa (every Sunday before Christmas) it’s an exciting time to visit and get in the mood for Christmas with the whole family”.

Visitors can also buy limited edition mini LEGO brick models at our shop, available until 11 December. They make great Christmas presents and are only available at WWT with all proceeds supporting WWT’s essential conservation work in the UK and around the world.

There is no extra cost to meet the giant LEGO brick animals at Llanelli Wetland Centre; the trail is included in the admission price. Places for the workshops can be pre-booked online at an additional cost of £8 per person.
