Brilliant Birds Learning Session ages 8-11
Perfect for home educators - this day out includes a two hour session with the Learning Team learning about bird adaptations.
Perfect for those learning at home, a complete day of discovery at WWT Arundel is available again this November!
Come and join or education team and discover amazing adaptations on a Brilliant Birds session. Observe ducks, swans, and geese, discover their similarities and differences, and learn how special adaptations such as webbed feet and oil-coated feathers help them survive and flourish. Enjoy a birdwatching adventure with child-friendly binoculars before making your very own fat balls to take home for the birds visiting your garden.
Includes:
- Observation session of bird adaptations
- Binoculars and bird watching
- Fat ball making activity
Cost: £10 per child, The price includes all day admission to the reserve, private room for your belongings and breaktimes, a free accompanying adult, a session leader and any equipment needed on the day.
Time: 10:15 am - 1:30 pm is the part of you day spent with the Learning Team which includes a 45 minute break, you may remain on site until we close at 4:30 pm
Suitable for: 8-11 yrs of age, all children must be accompanied by an adult. Maximum one adult per child.
For children age 4-7 years of age please book this session.
