Access WWT Arundel via the Causeway Roundabout today

The town of Arundel's high street is closed for the Arundel Festival of the Arts today. You can still easily drive to us using the causeway Roundabout to reach Mill Road.

The best place to see the Lapwing are from the Ramsar & Sand martin hides and of course, the Lapwing hide. If you look carefully you may also see the chicks that hatched this week.
The Glossy Ibis was also showing well from this hide yesterday and comes in and out from the reserve from the river.
RESERVE SIGHTINGS: Goldfinch, Robin, Coal tit, Blue tit, Great tit, Long tailed tit, Wren, Peregrine, Cetti's warbler, Reed bunting and Reed warbler, Dunnock, Pheasants, Swifts, House martins, Chaffinch, Green finch, Collared dove, Buzzards, Water Voles, Black cap, Sedge warbler, Nut hatch, Wood pigeon, Magpie, Jackdaw, Rook.
The Cuckoo is still calling away from the back of the Reed bed.
RAMSAR & SAND MARTIN HIDES: 45 Tufted duck, 2 Oyster catchers, 4 Lapwing, 9 Gadwall, 11 Canadian geese, 2 Lesser black back gulls, Herring gulls, Mediterranean gulls,
2 Grey lag geese, 1 Shoveler, 1 Egyptian goose, 2 Shelduck.
LAPWING HIDE: 1 Grey heron, 8 Lapwing & 4 chicks, 1 Shoveler, 2 Gadwall, 10 Grey lag geese, Mallard and ducklings.
SCARPE HIDE: 6 Tufted duck, 2 Gadwall, 3 Shelduck, 2 Canadian geese, 8 Pochard, 1 Shoveler.
WETLANDS DISCOVERY: Water voles, Tufted duck, Little grebe, Canadian and Grey lag geese.
