"Wildfowl Heaven! This reserve is a little gem! If you are going to south-west Scotland it is worth diverting from the main roads to find this haven for Barnacle Geese and Whooper Swans. The habitats include pasture, mudflats and saltmarsh and support a variety of waterfowl. The paths to the hides are flat and the going is easy. The staff were friendly and helpful."
