WWT Llanelli will be closed for one day on Wednesday 20 May.

We’re sorry for this short-term inconvenience, but this date has been chosen to allow our team to rearrange the shop and entrance ahead of the upcoming Welcome Project construction, and get everything ready in time for a fantastic May half-term experience. We will reopen on Thursday 21 May as usual. Thank you for your support and understanding.

Recent Sightings 7th - 13th November

Highlights - Pochard, Pintail, Dunlin, Green Sandpiper and Mistle Thrush.

British Steel Hide

Its been lovely to see good numbers of dunlin, curlew and lapwing on the saline lagoons. Six spoonbill are still consistently out there too. A mistle thrush was seen on the Dafen scrapes this week. Two green sandpipers have been moving around the centre so there's always a chance you may spot them every time you enter one of our hides!

Millennium Wetlands

As always, the ducks are the stars of the show on deep water lake and this week there have been good views of a pochard and pintail. The bird feeders are now out on the reserve meaning you can sit and watch the tits, finches, sparrows and woodpeckers for hours. A kestrel and a sparrowhawk have been seen both perched and overhead too. At dusk a few bats are still out feeding and often whizz straight past your head!
