British Steel Hide

The poor weather has reduced the quantity of birds, but there are still some good birds to be including: Spoonbills, Spotted Redshank, Garganey and the first returning Pochard of the Autumn. As a result of the very big tides recently the pipe that controls the water levels in the Saline Lagoons was ripped out and was washed over to the Micheal Powell Hide. this means that the water levels are far from ideal for waders and it is going to be sorted as soon as possible. Apologies for the inconvenience, there are still plenty of birds on the Dafen Scrapes and Fresh Water Lagoon.

Millennium Wetlands

The Kingfishers are still showing well from both the Herons Wing and Peter Scott Hide. Cetti's Warblers and Little Grebes can also be seen or heard on or around the Deep Water Lake. The Barn Owl has also been seen on the Millennium Wetlands.
