Three avocet have appeared on the saline lagoons in front of the British steel hide, where a short eared owl and brent goose have also been seen. Three Mediterranean gull have mixed company with the black headed gull colony on the lagoon and at least 50 swallow have been seen feeding over water. Other sightings include chiffchaff, blackcap, sedge warbler, reed warbler, 27 black tailed godwit, 21 redshank, 11 lapwing, 12 little egret, 19 greylag goose, 42 shelduck, 43 gadwall, 89 mallard, 5 pochard, 43 tufted duck and 4 little grebe.
