The white fronted goose (Greenland race) and pink footed goose are still present on the on the NRA scrapes and are best viewed from the British steel hide. Two second summer Mediterranean gull have mixed company with the black headed gull colony on the lagoon and the first swallow appeared this afternoon. Other sightings include chiffchaff, willow warbler, blackcap, 5 cetti's warbler, 43 black tailed godwit, spotted redshank, 9 greenshank, 130 redshank, 11 lapwing, 12 little egret, 15 greylag goose, 32 shelduck, 3 pintail, 2 wigeon, 43 gadwall, 115 mallard, 9 pochard, 52 tufted duck, 2 little grebe, sparrowhawk and kingfisher.
