At least 3 chiffchaff – the first spring migrants were heard singing in the millennium wetlands this morning. At least 5 cetti’s warbler were heard also. Other sightings include 18 greylag goose, 57 shelduck, 51 pintail, 27 wigeon, 63 gadwall, 12 teal, 120 mallard, 9 shoveler, 11 pochard, 76 tufted duck, 150 oystercatcher, 10 knot, 4 dunlin, 2 snipe, 12 black tailed godwit, 60 curlew, 18 redshank, 9 greenshank, 18 little egret, 2 water rail and kingfisher.
