Chilean flamingos

ℹ️ Flamingos off show
Our flock of Chilean flamingos is currently being housed indoors. This is a temporary measure as a precaution to local avian influenza (bird flu).
We don't know how long this will last but we'll let you know as soon as they are safe to be back outdoors!
Thanks for your understanding.

Baer's pochard

Our duckery is home to a number of young waterbird species at the moment, from little fluffballs in the indoor rearing units to larger ducklings growing up fast in the outdoor pens.

So if you pay a visit, through the duckery windows you can see:

6 ringed teal ducklings

4 white-faced whistling ducklings

3 Meller’s duckling

And over the road at the outdoor nursery are:

3 red-crested pochard

3 Baer’s pochard

4 Eurasian wigeon

1 Meller’s duck

1 red-billed whistling duck

3 Northern pintail

Splendid stuff!
