Budget meeting review
Yesterday I spent all day in a budget meeting with my line manager and the finance team to go through the centres budgets for 12/13. It was a long day as we have over 9 budgets to go through from the centre but it was very productive and I am very happy with our proposed budgets for the next 12 months as they are achieveable as the Trust is very carfeul to manage budgets well in response to the economic situation. It is also positive that the Trust is in a strong position and we will be continuing with developments at Martin Mere as planned realising that investment is the best way forward in these difficult times to continue increasing our visitation and visitor experience.
I am going to Slimbridge next Tuesday to have the final budget meeting and then I can start my plans for the next year and really start taking the centre forward which I am really excited for.
