Social media community guidelines
At WWT, we want everyone to feel as welcome and valued online as they do at our sites. Help us to create a safe, inclusive and friendly space on WWT’s social media channels by following our community guidelines.
- WWT’s social channels are routinely monitored 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. Outside of these hours, we cannot guarantee an immediate response to comments and messages.
- If you need to get in touch with questions, feedback or complaints, please send an email to enquiries@wwt.org.uk.
- We ask that all community members be polite, courteous and respectful of others on our social media channels. Healthy debate and constructive feedback is welcome, but we will block accounts and remove comments that are:
- abusive, threatening or harassing, including obscene or inflammatory comments and behaviour
- offensive, discriminatory, racist or inciting hate
- unlawful, for example defamatory, fraudulent or in violation of intellectual property rights
- contrary to fulfilling our charitable objectives
- adverts for commercial products or services
- obvious spam
- We will use our own discretion to hide comments that go against our guidelines. If we hide your comment, we will let you know you have contravened our guidelines. If further comments continue to go against our policy, we will block users from the page.
- If we feel you’re breaching the guidelines of a particular social network, we’ll flag your account with the relevant social media network as inappropriate.
