Caerlaverock bird sightings Monday Oct 19th
39 Whooper Swans feeding in a stubble field, just to the east of the reserve, with 20 present on Eastpark at 08:30
A Kingfisher has been seen intermittently from the Back Pond Hide
Still plenty of Barnacle Geese around and amongst them today is the white-phase Snow Goose. Yesterday's count of Barnacle Geese was about 6000
A few more winter thrushes around today, Fieldfares particularly, enjoying the healthy crop of hawthorn berries in the avenues, small flocks of Lesser Redpolls and Siskins there too
