Wildlife Sightings for 8th April 2025

Snipe and Redshank on marsh, Little Ringed Plover on main lake, Water Pipit on the scrape and House Martins arriving.

Garden Warbler, Sedge Warbler, Reed Warbler and Willow Warbler all heard this morning. A Little Owl was calling in the NW corner.

Four Redshank on site. Garden Warbler near the Peacock Tower.

6 April 2025

Two Little Ringed Plover's on the wader scrape, along with a Wheatear and other waders. Reed and Sedge Warbler heard on site.

5 April 2025

Little Egret and Green Sandpiper on the Wader Scrape. Sand Martin and Chiffchaff across the site.

4 April 2025

Redshank, Green Sandpiper, and Snipe still on site. Sand Martin numbers increasing.

Good day for waders with Snipe, Green Sandpiper, Common Sandpiper, Redshank and Jack Snipe on the reserve

Yellow Wagtail over south route. Little Ringed Plover, Oystercatcher and Green Sandpiper on site. Red Kite over.

Multiple Redshank and a Little Ringed Plover on main lake, along with a male Goosander. Sand Martins, Chiffchaff and Blackcap across the site.

Wheatear, Kingfisher and Little Egret on the wader scrape. Shelduck pair on the marsh. Little Ringed Plover on the main lake.
