Both birds on the nest today in the sunshine
Both birds have been on the nest for about half an hour this afternoon. The weather is much better today and although a bit breezy at least the sun is out. We have seen a couple of mating attempts today so hopefully we may see our first egg soon. We have

Today's sightings
Migrants At least 60 Willow Warblers in the grounds this morning and a large passage of Sand Martins, House Martins and Swallows and a few Terns passing through. The Kingfisher Hide Kingfisher 2- Still nest building and showing well The Zeiss Hide Avocet

More Movement
The continuing southerly airflow is helping migrant birds on their way and bringing more birds in which will summer and breed in the local vicinity. At least 4 White Wagtails today on Woodend Marsh. The immature Spoonbill and Little Egret are sill present
