The male green-winged teal is showing well on the folly pond this morning. Over 700 teal on the pond with lots of groups of males displaying. Good visibility this morning with 5,580 barnacle geese counted from the tower, flocks of geese all over the wet

North American green-winged teal back on the Folly Pond at WWT Caerlaverock today.

A wet and windy night saw over 900 teal taking refuge on the Folly Pond this morning. As the wind dropped and the weather cleared, there was the male North-American green-winged teal on the pond. We haven't see him since the cold snap a fortnight ago.
