Latest Sightings
A lovely day again with calm condition and good visibility. The Whooper Swan numbers have increased with this mornings dawn count producing 361 birds. The Pink-footed Geese numbers are on the other hand drooping back slightly with only 16000(!) roosting.

Swan numbers increasing
Whooper swan by Nigel Cooke After a count of the swans at Welney this morning we now have over 1,000 whooper swans. Bewick's swan numbers have not increased yet, we need some cold, Easterly winds for that! Brrrr!
